Even after tryal licensing with APTEE, InDesign tell me the same error message.
Someone knows why?

How to start two instances of InDesign server independently?
Hello,
we have a multi instance InDesign server installation.
And we are able to start two instances of InDesign server on different ports.
But now we would like to use different plugins for different instances.
Is it possible somehow? For example install InDesign server two times in different folders or something like that?

Why can't I download Indesign CC? It keeps saying I have a server error.
I just purchased the cloud...I have been trying to download Indesign CC and everytime it asks me to login, I do as such, and then it tells me that an Unknown Server has occured. This has been going on for quite some time...is there something wrong with my compatibility? Is there a direct link that can be provided to download Indesign? And I am not talking about the trial. Is my fire wall blocking it or what? Because I have purchased the cloud and I feel like I'll be wasting my money if I can't even download anything. If there is another way to download the programs, can I do that without accessing the website?

InDesign plugin loading can be controlled via a file "PluginConfig.txt", refer to search for details.
InDesign Server has separate configuration folders per instance/configuration.
*If* the search path for the PluginConfig.txt falls into this folder, that would be the easiest approach.
I don't have a server installation with me to try it out.

Access InDesignServer instance running as Windows service via COM?
I 'm trying to obtain the COM application object of an InDesign Server instance that is running (via the InDesignServerService) as a Windows Service but all attempts at this have thusfar failed.
This is what I did
- I have created a new instance via InDesignServerService.msc. The new instance has no port and the following commandline argument "-configuration IDS_1".
- I have set the InDesignServerService to log on using my local user account.
- I started the InDesignServerService
- I'm using InDesignServer CS6 (8.0) x64 on Windows 8 (also tried on Win7) and I'm a local admin.
I want to communicate with the InDesign server instance from my application (this is a .NET application, but all COM functionality is through low-level p/invokes calls). Actually this will eventually run also as a service, but for debugging purposes I thought it would be easier to run it as a simple console application.
I would have expected that a COM moniker called "IDS_1" would now be available to which I could bind to gain access to the Application object of the server instance. However, this does not seem to be the case.
The thing is, when I run InDesignServer as a regular application the moniker is in fact available.
Any help on what could be wrong here and a possible solution would be much appreciated.

Problem printing documents from a Script
Hello, I have developed a JavaScript for InDesign Server CS6.
The JavaScript take the InDesign document and send it to print to a poscript printer.
Usually the script works correctly, but after some executions it appear the error message "There is a problem with the font "---------"".
At the beginning I thought that the font was corrupt but it makes no sense because if I restart the InDesign Server and launch the execution with the same document, It works correctly.
I have reviewed the script, and we are sure that the script is correct.
The documents should be correct because if I launc any document after restarting the application It works OK.
The fonts seem be OK, following the same reason that I say about the document.
So we don't know where is the problem but it is an important problem.
could someone help me?

InDesign Server CC Mac problem licensing
Hi all.
I'm trying toactivateInDesign ServerCCbutI am havinga lot of problems.
- MacOSX 1.8.5 Server.
- Adobeindesignserver 9.2 Debug 1_23
First of all, the package contains just a folder, not an installer.
So I suppose all I have to do is copy the content in the Applications folder.
In the folder I found tree different executable files:
InDesignServer.app
InDesignServer.command
indesignserverconsole.command
I tried toactivateInDesignwithall the methodslistedhere:
adobe_prtk --tool=StartTrial --leid=InDesignServer-CS7-Mac-GM
adobe_prtk --tool=Serialize --leid=InDesignServer-CS7-Mac-GM --serial=<MySerial> --adobeid=<MyID>
adobe_prtk --tool=Type1Exception --accept --serial=<MySerial>--responsecode=<MyResponseCode> --leid=InDesignServer-CS7-Mac-GM
All attemptsended with: ReturnCode = 0 but InDesign still do not start.
The error is always the same:
"Adobe InDesign Server is not properly licensed and will now quit"
On this server is installed also IDServer CS5, can it be aproblem?

trouble opening cs6 files
i did my portfolio on cs6 and i have 3 different saved files but everytime i try to open it, it says that it was created on cs7 so is there anyway for me to open them because i really dont want to start over

Sounds like you did the portfolio in CC (there is no CS7, but the dialogs were written before the names were finalized). If you are a subscriber to Creative Cloud you are entitled to both CS6 and CC.

Those files were not created in CS6, they were created in CC. You’ll need to find someone with CC to export as IDML for you.

So far no answer.
The only way I found is to download a new installer from the official site and install it in a brand new system.
In a clean system and with a true installer, not just a folder all works fine.
Unfortunately it's just a workaround, not a real solution.

I try it on en virtual machine.
I have CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC debug versions (desktop + server, windows + MAC)
I hope Adobe Support pays more attention to developers.

Can't Connect To Server
I recently had several Adobe programs downloaded to my mac laptop for my classes and major. My school downloaded these programs onto my laptop and in order to use these programs and share files with other classmates, we use a server to connect. I was wondering if there is anyway to use these programs without having to connect to the server. When I try to open InDesign, a message pops up that says "A connection to a network KeyServer is required in order to run this program. Open KeyAccess and log on to a KeyServer."
I was hoping someone can guide me with a way to open InDesign without connecting to the server!
