I need to generate a SWF file that will be converted into EXE and recorded a CD. When I run the EXE file on the CD takes it to appear in full screen. I can not do this in InDesign. The file is generated, but when I run is converted not appear in full screen. Only appears if I give the command CTRL F.

How to get 'clover.cmd' running as Windows service?
Right now I have the InDesign instances all running great as services so on a server reboot they start up fine. The clover/lbq part is just the .cmd script and it's not running as a service. I looked in the documentation but haven't found any info on getting clover to run as a Windows service.
Anyone know how to set it to do this? I'm on InDesign CS6 (server).

Adobe InDesign sever setup
Hello I hace an Adobe InDesign Server CS6 multi-instacen license,
now one instance is not taking benefit of all the server powerful. I would like to setup the instance to take more memory.
For example my server (mac pro server) has 64 GB RAM and one instance is taking just 2GB (approx) as maximum.
Can I setup this issue?? how can I do it??
It would be usefull is I can fix that issue for CS 5.5 too.

As a result to a call to the Adobe Developer Support we (the support team and me) found the following solution:
It is a language dependent bug:
If you use Scripts:Application:myscript.jsx it works in the english (enUS) version of the InDesign Server, but not in the german (deDE) version.
But if you use Scripts:Server:myscript.jsx it works in both languages.
Other languages were not tested.

Indesign Server CC Trial issues
The installation instructions states
You need to download Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition (APTEE) for using the InDesign Server trial
The download link only refers to CS6, CS5.5 & CS5 not CC
Since there is no Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition for CC I decided just to install and run the trial.
However I got the Adobe InDesign Server is not properly licensed and will now quit message.
According to the CC Release notes it says:
InDesign CC Server needs to be activated before it can be used. If the computer is online, activation is done automatically when you install. You need to provide your Adobe ID, and serial number when prompted by the installer. Unless the software is activated, you'll see an error, "Adobe InDesign Server’ is not properly licensed and will now quit."
My computer was online yet the it seems it didn't perfom the automatic activation as it suggests. When I entered my AdobeID credentials I did not get any errors saying it could not connect online.
So I had to do something and decided to use the Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition for CS6.
This allowed me to get pass the licensing issue.
The next problem was I was getting DDE Server Window:InDesignServer.exe System Error popup. Telling me The program can't start because svml_dispmd.dll is missing from your computer.

So after browsing the net to see where I can get this missing svml_dispmd.dll I found this post http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/285859
and decided to install what it suggested.
I still got the missing dll error so I copied it from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intel\Shared Libraries\redist\intel64\compiler into C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC Server x64
Now it just sits there and hangs at the same spot

How to disable sessions in CS6?
InDesign Server CS6 added a mechanic of multi-threading jobs via sessions.
Now you can begin session and end session via SOAP web service call.
However, the sessions add a huge overhead for those who want to use multi-instance instead of multi-threading.
A webservice call without a session ID is always ~500ms slower while it creates a session in the background. The session is then appears to be used on a ~5 second sliding timeout allowing subsequent calls to be 500ms faster, however if you wait around 10 seconds, the next call recreates the session and increases render time by ~500ms again.
This is a major issue when rendering takes on average of 1000ms. That's a 50% longer execution time. This is a major problem when trying to offer a speedy web application built on top of IDS.
I tried creating sessions and keeping the IDs in memory, but they expire and result in a whole bunch of SOAP errors.
My question is: Is it possible to disable sessions in IDS CS6 or remove the session expiration time completely?

Cannot start Trial for InDesignServer
Hi!
This problem drives me nuts.
I have installed a fresh new version of Microsoft Server 2012.
I download the latest version of InDesign-Server for Windows.
I install Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition 3.1.
I use booth adobe_prtk.exe from the AAMEE and from the Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition with
adobe_prtk.exe --tool=StartTrial --leid=InDesignServer-CS6-Win-GM
I get this result
StartTrial Successful
Return Code = 0
But if i try to start InDesignServer, the console prompts
Adobe InDesign Server is not properly licensed and will now quit. (On my machine the german translation of this error).
What I'm doing wrong?
The strange thing is... If I call
adobe_prtk.exe --tool=StartTrial --leid=FooBarFooBarFoo
the tool says also
StartTrial Successful
Return Code = 0

I have reinstalled the Microsoft 2012 Server and a 2008 R2. I have disabled security settings like User Account Control, internet settings and so on.
adobe_prtk.exe gave me on booth machines Return Code 6 what means "Product whose LEID is entered is not installed on the target computer. "
Although the InDesignServer was installed...
But the solutions was quite simple for me:
If you look in the adobe_prtk logfile (%temp%/oobelib.log or /tmp/oobelib.log) you can see some entrys from a LEID called InDesignServer-CS7-Win-GM.
And that's it.

INDS PDF export issue
Hi,
Exporting large document from InDesign takes significantly long time in InDesign CS6 server. Our document has minimum 1200 page needs to be exported to PDF. It takes around 12 minute to export with "smallest file size" preset. Our requirement is to export quick PDF rather then smallest size pdf.
Can some one suggest best setting to fastest PDF export from InDesign. Here is PDF export settings that we use as alternate to "smallest file size" ?

InDesign CC Server Availability
First, thanks to all of you in here for taking a look at my question; I'm a newbie here and this question is a little below your level, but since I'm new I'm not really up to date on current releases. I've been trying, for the past few hours, to find out where I can get a non-trial version of InDesign CC Server. It seems that nobody in customer service or sales knows anything about the product. Nobody seems to know it even exists. I'm really confused. So, questions for those of you that may know something about the product:
1) How much does the CC version cost when purchasing from Adobe? I am an developer trying to price out for my employer (<15 people). We have a solution we're running off of InDesign desktop CS4 but it's time to make the system faster and tighter and let the rest of our users use it.
2) Is there a significant difference in functionality from InDesign CS6 Server?
3) Why, in your opinion, doesn't anyone in customer service or sales know anything about this? Is it a dud product that nobody's buying and Adobe's not pushing? I was told multiple times that I need to contact a partner, but I'm not interested in any services the partners have to offer - I just want the software to not expire after 90 days and it's like pulling teeth trying to get someone knowledgeable.

However I made my own using a webform that converted input into an XML file.
Then I used that file in a script that makes a InDesign document using that XML input.

Indesign server CC trial help
I have programmed Applescript and Indesign for desktop for years.
I have a solution that should work well with Indesign server and applescript.
Downloaded the Trial for Indesign Server CC.
Then you have to figure out how to activate the product, which i think i have done via this command :
adobe_prtk --tool=StartTrial --leid=InDesignServer-CS7-Mac-GM
Now that its not compaining about being activated i can see that the sample applescripts provided in the install can compile.
If i run them however i get a failiure thats odd.

which is just odd. its a normal empty indesign document with nothing in it!
has anyone got ideas?
Server is MacMini i7 with 16gb ram, OS X 10.8.5 server.

I have exactly the same issue but am determined to solve it. I'm on Win 7, InDesign Server CS6.
I'll keep this post updated if I figure it out.
But, as I'm new to most things Adobe it may take some time.

InDesign CC Server - ESTK Cannot Interact
I'm running Windows Server 2008R2 (64-bit) and I'm having a huge issue getting scripts to run from ESTK to InDesign CC Server. I've got InDesign CC (Desktop) installed as well. Both versions are fully updated as of today. Can you please help me fix this? When I try to run a script using ESTK targeting InDesing CC Server from the same computer, it sits there with a message box saying "Waiting; press ESC to abort..." It appears that it's not able to communicate with the process (InDesignServer.com, which is running at the time) at all, and I'd love a little help debugging this.
